The 4th Grade class went exploring in our on-site garden right before it started to rain.

Camille and Andrea found a huge cucumber that none of us had yet found:

The 4th grade class tasted some basil from the garden as well as some parsley.
On basil:  “It tastes a little like soap and lettuce and pepper all together.  It’s good!”
On Parsley:  “It tastes like grass. It has a strong taste and I don’t like it so much.”

Najeem ponders over the mint leaf he eats.   The 4th graders concluded that they had tasted mint in gum and toothpaste, and that mint could be used in tea, mouthwash, candy, and water.
